Three Astronauts Arrive Space Station After 6 Hours Flight From Earth

Astronauts blast off from Baikonur cosmodrome to International Space Station Two Americans and one Russian have left Earth to start their five-month tenure aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The Soyuz capsule is also carrying a model of the first-ever artificial satellite, Sputnik. NASA astronauts Joe Acaba and Mark Vande Hei took off from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan with Russia's cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin early on Wednesday.

Uber will not be issued a new private hire licence, Transport for London (TfL) has said. TfL concluded the ride-hailing app firm was not fit and proper to hold a London private hire operator licence. It said it took the decision on the grounds of "public safety and security implications".
Confirming it would appeal against the decision, Uber said it showed the world "far from being open, London is closed to innovative companies".

Snapchat Blocks Al Jazeera Contents In Saudi Arabia

Social media platform Snapchat has blocked access to Al Jazeera content in Saudi Arabia. Snapchat said it was asked by the Saudi authorities to remove the Qatari-backed broadcaster's Discover Publisher Channel because it violated local laws. Qatar is in an ongoing dispute with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the UAE.
